Really, the freshest, sweetest pineapple I'd ever tasted. Somewhere very off the beaten track, not far from Awassa in the southern part of the country. Small hold farmers who grow more than what they need to eat tend to naturally collectivize or cluster. Individually, the farmers could never have produced enough to find markets. As a group of 20 or more families, they are able to grow enough to attract traders from far away and command higher prices.
